August 25, 2007 - San Francisco wins flag
San Francisco capped off a fine season with a stunning performance in the Grand Final, beating the Oakland Pirates by almost 10 goals, and finally laying claim to the Masse's Premiership Cup.
After three fruitless seasons of promising so much and failing to deliver at the business end of the season, it was fitting that the Knights achieved ultimate success.

It's not often that 5 goals will win you a game a football. It's even rarer when those five goals gives you a victory by 3 goals. On Saturday Oakland produced both those results to beat a lack-luster San Francisco.

April 28, 2007 - Grand Final Replay - Knights Victory
Comments 4
The much anticipated rematch between the 2006 Grand Finalists turned out to be a fizzer with San Francisco jumping out to a 3 goal lead and running out comfortable winners by 34 points.
The pre-match trash talk was kept to a minimum; Marin having achieved the perfect season in 2006 and San Francisco knowing that actions speak louder than words.
April 28, 2007 - San Jose Hornets vs Oakland Pirates
Comments 3
The pre-season has seen San Jose touting its new recruits, champions all who will carry the Hornets to the finals after their underwhelming season in 2006. This may still be true, for the Hornets were missing several regular faces, and had only a smattering of new ones, in an undermanned appearance against Oakland in the season opener.

The GGAFL not only survives but thrives because of the contributions of our sponsors. Peter and Deanna Frumenti have been wonderful supporters of our league and that support has not been confined to just giving us some money. Indeed Peter Frumenti has now helped three GGAFL members with their real estate needs.

Andrew Lamont - Macquarie Scholarship winner
Where do you start in singing the praises of Andrew Lamont?
Andrew is the current league MVP, a two-time premiership player with Marin, a significant factor in Marin's dominance of the last two GGAFL seasons, a member of the Golden Gate Roos' Nationals winning team, and just a real nice bloke.
