Oakland to take on Marin in Grand Final

GGAFL 2010 Preliminary Final - With a convincing win on Saturday against the San Jose Hornets, the Oakland Pirates force their way into the 2010 Grand Final (Superbowl for our American audience).

The Hornets have battled hard all season for their wins and had a great first quarter. Taking a 10 point lead into the second quarter had them feeling confident and enthusiastic but the Pirates had other ideas.

The Pirates came to life in the 2nd quarter, with Chris Johnson kicking 4 goals, and outscored the Hornets in each remaining quarter on their way to a convincing 46 point win and take their place in next weeks Grand Final.

Their opponents will be the rested minor premiers, Marin Mavericks and in a season where the head to head games have resulted in one win each, this promises to be a great season finale for the GGAFL.
